Marriage Department:
 
Marriage Department aim to encourage stronger family values among married couples in the church and promote healthy bonds among families.
 
Activities
 
- Assist in counselling married couples when necessary
 
- Arrange counselling sessions with prospective couples
 
- Organise seminars for families, and married couples, to encourage and share experiences with one another
 
- Organise meetings/ seminars for the singles on matters relating to courtship, sex and how to prepare themselves for marriage
 
- Seek to guide the Church in keeping its policies regarding marriage and also educate members on the Biblical principles of marriage, e.g. divorce, remarriage, etc.
 
- Advise couples regarding any concerns when organising weddings/engagements/customary rites
 
- Help the pastor in solving marital conflicts
 
- Liase with families of prospective couples in finalising engagements and customary rites
 
- Ensure that members are not “unequally yoked”
 
– guidance/counsel should be given to members in this regard.
 
- Help perform engagements and customary rites on behalf of the Pastor
 
- Organise at least two dinner events for singles and couples each year.
